Formation, Children and Adult, Planned for Summer
May 5, 2015
This summer is a Summer of Psalms, a summer of storytelling. Holy Communion will be open and busy from the end of school through the warm-weather months, with a number of new offerings and special events for all ages.
Food Truck Sundays! On June 7, July 12 and August 16, we’ll have a different sort of coffee hour - food trucks at Holy Communion starting at 11:30 a.m.
Theology by the River returns, again generously hosted by Paulette’s Restaurant and parishioner proprieters George and Jackie Falls. The dates: Tuesday, June 16 and Thursday, July 9.
We have two new series of Sunday classes that are for youth and adults - one will be announced in the next couple weeks and the other is:
Summer of Psalms: This class series, developed by Matthew Arehart, will take a deeper look at the Psalms, how to read them and how they relate to our lives.
Children’s formation will continue through the summer, and minister to children Alice Hollis is scheduling a relaxed hour of activities, crafts and learning, casual and often outdoors, in the tradition of vacation Bible school.
Rally Day is scheduled for August 23, and our annual Parish Picnic for September 13.
Stay tuned for our summer formation flyer with a complete list of classes and teachers, which will also be posted online and in the June issue of The Communicator.
